What's common between a broken jar of cookies, not doing homework, a fight, that missed deadline and the economic crisis?
They're never our fault.
We're constantly at it, our whole lives. It's never us, we never do anything, why should we take the blame?
If it's not your fault, it's not your sacrifice. And life goes on. But if it's not your sacrifice, the rewards are not yours to take either.
Let's not forget that sacrifice implies some sort of worship, and that worship is nothing short of an act of passion.
If you're passionless about everything you commit yourself with in life, that's fine. Just don't come complaining when you feel that "bad luck" only strikes you.
