Odd title for a blog post by a guy who loves social media.
Yet, I have to admit I sometimes feel this way, but don't get me wrong. I think the ability to easily share content has absolutely changed everything in how the internet works.
My problem is noticing that often people spend more time debating where to place share buttons than debating the content people are supposed to share in the first place. And before you know it, the mere fact of existing a share button makes us believe we should place it everywhere on that website or app, regardless of the content we're putting out there.
Print this if you will: if the content is good, boy will I share it. No share button on the website? Nothing a good old copy/paste can't solve. Having lots of share buttons and dull content, however... oh yeah, that's right. Crickets.
