The player and the game

The system is always the one to blame. Never us.

We never have time because we have work to do. If we don't do the work, the system will punish us.

We never smile because the system was up to something and it damaged us. To smile would be to look at the whole incident as if it meant nothing.

We never move that far because that would be to go away from the system. And the system hates desertion.

We're like this because you know what they say: don't hate the player, hate the game. If the game is designed this way, why should we play outside the grid?

Simple. The grid may be straight and shiny, but that doesn't mean it's straightened up and bright.
